Enrolment in our classes is limited to six or seven students, with five being the average.

The small number of participants guarantees individual attention on the part of the teacher and gives each participant the benefit of frequent opportunities to speak in class. About once every three weeks, the classes either take place outside of the classroom (typical field trips for example to the Creole Garden, a drum workshop or a distillery) or students are given the opportunity to attend a conference at the school on such topics as culture, history and the education system. The individual groups are prepared by their teacher for these tours and conferences, which thus represent an integral part of the course. The objective of these events is to acquaint students more closely with aspects of cultural, economic and social life on the island.

Classroom materials supplied
The school furnishes a grammar booklet written by school staff, as well as photocopies. Books can be taken out on loan.
Certificates
At the end of your course, you have the opportunity of taking an examination based on the TEF test of the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris. The results of this test allow us to issue an internal certificate from the school that documents your competence in oral and written expression and comprehension. Please note that if you have more than two unexcused absences from class within a period of two weeks, you forfeit your right to such a certificate. A simple certificate of attendance with no mention of your level of competence can be issued on request.
